    Just to clarify, would you be turning up for brunch on Sunday?

      Actually, no need for HUGE AL to reply - of course he will be (if he can make it for dinner)!

      I now make it seven:

      * flo

      * HUGE AL

      * jhm

      * Lawrence (a friend of phaleesy and I who just happens to be in NYC on holiday - he knows nothing about SQT, TOF etc!)

      * phaleesy

      * taipeiflyer

      * taipeiflyer+1

      I'll confirm once I hear that the reservations have been increased from 4 to 7.

          Mmmm, this is steak for four at Luger:

          so if we all go for beef, we'll eat almost double that!

          (Plus of course appetisers, German fried potatoes, onion rings and other veg, dessert and plenty of whipped cream!)

                and Lawrence somewhere near Times Sq.

                    Still trying my best to swing it. If so, I may try to be at the same place...or down at my house: the SoHo Grand Hotel.

                      Seems like HUGE AL is a keen golfer.

                        And I didn't even get the option to rest on the boney shoulder...

                          in monterey right now.... gonna hit up the aquarium for a couple hours then head to sfo to see my sister and nieces. taking a rather circuitous route for the do: lax-mry-sfo-jfk-lag-ord-sea-sfo-mry-lax... love those bd miles.

                            Just arrived at the FRA airport Sheraton a short while ago.

                            Unlike taipeiflyer, my route is pretty simple:

                            LHR-FRA-MXP-JFK-MXP/LIN-FRA-LHR

                            on a mix of OW, *A and ST.

                            OT I know but I have to say that - as per BA's current ad campaign - LHR T5 really does work! I checked in online and printed out my BP so went straight to security (no need to validate it like on SQ) but the check-in queues weren't long. Security was a wait of a few minutes (I let the BAA goon direct me to the line to join even though it wasn't Fastrack). Laptops remain in and shoes remain on. Flight pushed back on time and arrived early. Full marks to BA today!

                              I agree about T5. It has transformed the LHR experienced for me: so much more civilized.

                              Have fun in NYC.
