Familiarity of those lounges at those times leads me to guess you are on a RTW ticket and are doing SQ26/UA15 (PS flight) FRA-JFK-SFO ?. They stick out to me as I've done the same route/flights a few times this year.

It's a J RTW on SQ. Upgraded on first sector. Had to pay own pennies for the transcon UA flight, so only in Y for now .

Last time I did this I made the elementAAry error of booking AAnother airline for JFK-SFO. I was stuck in a Y middle seat, with a Krug hangover.

Yes, the RCC is fine at JFK. Again, it's better to be in a sparse amenity lounge than in the crowded gate waiting room. I don't recall any bar to hang out in T7.
I took this flight several times. And the flight was always full. Sometimes the volunteers needed.

Of course, now there is VX option, and I did DL as well which I got upgraded being Gold all the time, except last Sunday, when I had a check-in fiasco in Montreal that led to the disappearance of my waitlist for UG. Thus, I was in Y. I am so proud I am in Y more hours than MAN Flyer.
