Different from SQ's Hindi/Tamil channel which culls the latest hits from Bollywood and Kollywood, TG has a nice nonstop mix that builds momentum just like in a club/lounge setting.

As strange as it might sound, whenever there is a PTV in front of me with AVOD, the only thing I love to watch is the generic flight path/flight info channel. As an aviation enthusiast, I just love to look at those numbers, speeds, altitudes, etc.
One reason why I like EK is their onboard camera views. Now that's a step above other airlines who do not have it!
I don't really watch movies. I enjoy documentaries and every once in a while, I would watch travel documentaries of what to do at a particular destination, like where to eat, shop, sleep. For music, I just use my iPod Touch and listen away...
When it comes to IFE, I believe that every airplane has one. I call it the airplane window and that is why I always strive to secure a window seat on every flight because only a few seats have this special IFE. The views I get from the window are simply awe-inspiring and unique. Only flying can give you that benefit.
Flying aboard SQ is a whole different story. Just having the cute SQ F/As in blue sarong kebayas walk up and down the aisle is more than enough "IFE" for me! SQ has this special IFE over every other airline in the world
Such a gentle way about you / All around the world / Wouldn't go away without you / Singapore Girl, you're a great way to fly

I totally agree. Being able to look out the window at the fluffy clouds, perchance catch a sunrise/sunset is one of the pleasures of flying, unqiue form of inflight entertainment unto itself
I saw the sun rise above the clouds as CI 18 approached the Hawaiian islands recently. And I also watched Eat Pray Love on the almost seven hour flight from NRT

On DL HKG-DTW, 777LR with flat beds in BE and a nice big screen (about the same size as on the SQ 747s in FC) for AVOD: 21, movie about a team of poker-playing card-counting MIT students using their system to make money in Vegas. The champagne (same PH that SQ serves in J/C) wasn't bad and I was actually impressed by some white burgundy that a FA found for me after the purser told me that it had all been consumed on the outbound flight. I fell asleep before I could decide on a second movie to watch from their Australian list and didn't wake for a mid-flight snack or breakfast.
watched this during BKK to SIN, but could not finish, guess would have to finish it this weekend when I fly off to EU....

kapitan, I tried to find these movies in this month's KrisWorld, but couldn't find them. Which flight were you on and when?
I did find listed in the KW magazine, the other Chinese movies you mentioned in your second post and I'm gonna watch them on my next SQ flight of more than 2 hours. Been a while since I watched a Chinese-language movie on board a flight
