But the new Canon S95 is very attractive because it is more compact and has a built in lens cover. Not so good pics though ( I'm told by the boffins ).

The Sony is a great camera, just ridiculously expensive. The AF is a lot slower than Panasonic's, but you are comparing it to the fastest in the industry. As mentioned, I tested it out (one of my main criteria) and it ROCKED!HUGE AL
