If "I'm a friend of LKY" doesn't work with Singapore embassies, I doubt that "I'm a friend of CCS or Stephen Lee" will work in SQ either. I suspect the reply would be "go complain lah" or a "nah. here's the feedback form"

From my own personal experience, op-upped to SQ F will still get you all the perks. Your champagne glass will still be continued topped up and your meal service will still be whatever listed on the menu.

So, she must have referred to EK or an airlines with a super young duke as its CEO as the crews were only nice to her and her husband after she told them her best friend was married to the CEO of the airlines.
