Just wondering if anyone has used either webjet.com.au or expedia.com.au to make a flight booking rather than direct with the airline or travel agent.
The reason I ask is that I have been comparing prices for flights between Adelaide (Departing 5/12/09) and Los Angeles (Returning 14/12/09), and both of these sites are offering fares on V Australia for approx $1523 AUD (inc taxes) compared with approx $2600 (inc taxes) if booked direct with V Australia, using the exact same flights.
So far the cheapest I have found is with Cathay Pacific (obviously via Hong Kong) for $2176 AUD (inc taxes), hence a price differance of some $1000 seems strange.
