i grew up in san francisco as a child, and went to college at uc berkeley. growing up there, you didn't realize just how beautiful it was until you moved elsewhere, and then it really makes you appreciate the peace, tranquility and natural beauty of the bay area.

Yeah another vote for san fran. Fell in love with the area after visiting there and made a point to visit it frequently.
Makes me lament the fact that I am stuck in boring, greyish old pittsburgh. Really, the place is "like the pits".
