Has any SQTalker here just returned from Myanmar? Despite the ongoing protests and crackdown in Yangon and Mandalay, Changi Airport's Flight Information board shows it's business as usual as far as flights to and from the country are concerned.
It was reported that the United Nations Special Envoy Ibrahim Gambari left SIN on MI518 for RGN today. The flight was scheduled for 1405 but did not depart till 1450. I'm quite sure the delay must have had to do with his special visit. Interestingly, the flight departed from Gate F58, though I would have expected it to use Gate F60.
