I have heard enough stories from friends who were victims to be a very cautious traveller.
I like Tumi for wheeled carryons, but prefer other brands for checked luggage.‘Lean into the sharp points’

Do you mean criminals targetting owners of Tumi luggage?

22" Carry-On Zip-Expandable Upright
Briggs' 22" Carry-On is going on sale later this month and I'm considering purchasing it.

I know most of the crew here use 20" roller bags for carry-on usage. Will I be OK with the 22" in most F cabins and the occasional C?
Advice please?

I used to travel alot (and sometimes still do if every gram counts) with a 20" 2-wheel hybrid spinner which looks like this.
50 cm/20": 2.8kg.
35 x 50 x 20 cm
Recently, however, I've been using this 22" 4-wheel hardside upright spinner more, simply to carry a few more bits and pieces if I intend to do any shopping (or for storing office clothes if leaving straight from the office on a Friday evening).
22"/55cm: 6.4lbs. / 2.9kg.
Although I've used both, the latter 22"-er almost every week since Christmas '08, I have yet to be denied bringing it on board as a carry on, whether it be Air Asia, Jetstar, SQ Economy, Business and First, Thai Business, JAL Economy.
Hope that helps.
I've no experience with Briggs, so I can't help you on that one.
(would've thought you'd go for the HENK, Mr High-Roller!)
