It's not Tumi. It's not Somesonite. It's not TravelPro. Anyone knows what brand has metal frame that give indication like scissors? Just curious.
I was more curious about "...the sweet Japanese security checker."

    • Rimowa

Would the Rimowa be cheaper in Germany or NYC?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question.

Last time I was at Zurich, it was more expensive than the one I have seen at Kaufhoff in Frankfurt last year. If the US $ is still hovering very low, I assume NYC price would be cheaper.

That was what I thought. Thanks for the quick reply, SQLPP.

          • I'd go for NYC.

Last May when I checked prices in SFO, it was cheaper than Germany.

However, bought the TUMI at the end.

              • TUMI, Samsonite, Delsey - what's your fancy?

Just curious on the types of suitcases that SQTalkers use...

Personally I use the Samsonite for my suitcase and a TUMI trolley for cabin..

                What about you?

Being in the UK, I thought you liked "order" [said in a strong Brit accent]

                            • 1. I like my empty luggage to be of the light weight range.

                              2. I prefer Delsey or Samsonite.

                              3. I avoid Tumi, for fear of my bag being targeted by baggage handlers for "special handling". Or criminals targeting someone who can afford expensive luggage.

I have heard enough stories from friends who were victims to be a very cautious traveller.
