    Confessions of an air stewardess
    ..... http://www.asiaone.com/News/Latest%2...09-338505.html

    No one read this,???

I quote one of the paragraphs....
The kind of passengers she dreads are those in business class.

"They are not all bad, of course," she chuckles.

"But you have to understand business-class passengers are usually your high-powered types who travel for work.

"Sometimes, we get those who clearly had a bad day at the office. On one flight, I had this passenger who was on the phone as he was boarding the plane, calling his office to explain a deal had gone through."

Florence said she approached him and advised to switch off his mobile.

    Displeased, he snapped at her.

"That is why I prefer working in either the first or economy class - these passengers are generally more relaxed on a flight," she says.

hmmmm... time to switch to Y or F....

So sad that she practically lumped all J pax as "high-powered" self-centered jackasses with no civility. Yes, in truth there's alway a few of those on every flight who feel they own the world. But she hasn't yet served Y in a Chinese airline.

This pax is the perfect TZ demographic!

And said pax should count his/her blessings. In 2006, I flew out of Delhi in business class on a non-Indian Asian airline (not SQ) and the chicken curry on the menu was actually lamb curry! My Japanese colleague next to me ordered the prawns which tasted like they had been rolled in nothing but red chilli powder and was totally inedible!

On one of my regular SQ routes, JCL is indeed packed with movers and shakers. On the same route, the competitor (the counterpart national airline)'s JCL is packed with the people paid to do the moving and shaking! Which demographic would this FA prefer to be serving?

Oh and btw, EYCL on the same route on SQ--packed with tour groups originating from the country also known as the Asian Economic Engine In fact, SQ has to play a recorded safety announcement in the national language of this third country rather than the origin/destination country

            Let me guess...

            That route is ICN?
And that Asian Economic Engine is Indonesia?

LOL Interesting guesses, but as much as I love ICN, it is not one of my regular SQ routes
