Morning all! Thanks for the constructive advise.

Sinfj, i'm a designer, i'm more style over substance. I thought Quantum was a movie?

Milehigh, i'm British trained, and i have a sense of humour. Will heed your advise constructively.

Manflyer, alright mate? Now I have your attention, any worthwhile recommendations from Blighty?

Gunners, Aussie banks? Like barefoot says, buy their shares.

Lingua, you champion, my FB friends muttered something similar.

15%, in my opinion, should be achievable.

as far as I know no PB or any Investment Advisor will promise a guarantee return. 15% annual return in long run I think it is very achievable through a portfolio re-balancing etc. It is also depend of the "luck" (a.k.a external factors). But again in general if you look 5-10 years horizon 15% annual return on average is not unachievable things.

          Hmmm... Decisions decisions.

Gunners, do enrol for HSBC Premier. Instant intl transfer for free via Global View. (ie me to me). Alternatively, Citi Gold. These two are probably the best (service) retail bank in Oz.

2010 was great. Fingers cross for a sound 2011.

I fo have HSBC Premier Account in Australia. However, found them expensive in dealing with AUD $ account in Singpaore and transfering AUD from Singapore to other Asian countries. HSBC gives good service to individuals.
I have not tried negotiating with Singaopre banks regarding Aussie dollar account in Singapore.

Citibank has a good credit card in Australia but the rewards are tied in within Emirates. So still remaining with my Krisflyer cards.

I do have my own share portfolio and found that most fund managers due to their investment guidelines generally take a fee for just investing in a portfolio that reduces systematic and non systematic risk through diversification. I have not come accross many fund managers that consistently beat the market. There is cheap funds out of NY (can borrow US dollars at low interest rates) for the punters out there. It is a pity that most fund managers in Australia do not invest in private equity. There are upsides and downsides in having own SMSFs. Main downside it takes time to manage.

I do like the Singapore system as from what I read the governement fund invests in Singpaore industry.

How about any private banks to avoid? Anyone has any bad experiences? Obviously HSBC Private is well out of the picture.

Now i've never heard of Amundi.

              "Amundi who?"

If a guy called Bernie e-mails from you from his temporary accommodation promising a 15% return every year no matter what, I'd avoid him!

Cheers Jhm! There are two dodgy Bernies in this world. One is jailed and the other was mugged, and trying to fleece F1 fans to recoup. As a matter of fact (AAMOF), the show for Bernie E is about to begin in Germany.

Jokes aside, I personally feel Madoff has paid the price when his eldest son hung himself.

Back to the main point, anyone has any experience with Pictect Cie, Credit Agricole, Deutch Bank or ING Private??
