  • Singapore Stopover - Exiting Aiport - Customs

Hi... wanted to ask... been in and out of Changi..lost count how many times but never ventured out. Have flight ex- KUL to SIN to BNE and got a meeting in Sinpagore now... can I check bags straight through and still be allowed to exit the airport for a couple of hours and then come back and continue the next leg? Did a quick look around and could see an answer.

    Appreciate.

    Question?

Yes, you can check your bags through and exit the terminal. Make sure you get your boarding pass for BNE at KUL so you can re-enter the terminal.

Yes checking your bag all the way through and exiting the airport is no problem and if you get your boarding pass as well then when you get back to SIN after your meeting then you can just go straight through to departures.

Just remember to collect and complete your arrival/customs documentation from your inbound SIN flight crew as you will actually clear customs and immigration.

... but if you forget, you can of course get a blank immigration landing card in the airport to fill out before passing through immigration. There is no customs documentation required.

sometimes the immigration officer may ask to view your onward boarding pass (for BNE in your case)..

Yes, occasionally, the officer will ask for a proof of your next flight. It doesn't necessarily we have to have the BP for the next flight. It can be a E-tix proof or baggage tags showing the bags all the way to the next destination.
A reminder, passport holders from certain countries which require visa to enter Singapore, still need a valid visa to clear immigration, even for just a couple hours only.
