Collecting checked baggage later

Hi all.

I am arriving in SIN at 6am and have an onward SQ flight later in evening. I am planning to use transit hotel for 6 hrs on arrival to get a few hours sleep.

The problem is that I want to check my baggage through to SIN only as I want to head into town to do buy some things and recheck my baggage for my evening flight.

I know I can tag my luggage only to SIN but what I don't know is can I pick up my baggage after I check out from transit hotel later in the day, essentially 6 hrs after my arrival?

Anyone done something silly like this before that can advise?

You should be able to do it and pick up the luggage later at the lost and found... Paging Kyo....

There is also the baggage storage service at Changi as another option.

Thanks, SQ218. I'll be using the storage when I exit from airside.

My concern was I wanted to drop by transit hotel first before heading out 6 hrs later to collect my baggage at baggage claim. From the advice my baggage will be waiting at Lost & Found.
