I would advise taking the 1000hrs connecting flight.
I took the same SQ flight into CDG in March 2010.
It took an hour to clear immigration unless you're 'kiasu' or Suites/Business and get to alight first. The long immigration queue was due to the following factors:
- large load of passengers alighting from A380, followed by some other flight from USA /Asia
- immigration officers working at snail pace ---> it's 6+am and many of them still lethargic
And somehow there will always be some rude, small-minded fellow passengers who try to cut into your queue.
Baggage will be delivered on 2 separate carousels, so keep your eyes sharp and be fast on your feet or it will take you even more time to retrieve your bags.
Then you make your way to the other terminal...Comment
