Phwoar. Based on Calvinoeh's 20k mileage in the current qualifying year, I should already be eligible for a similar offer. Except my expiry is due 31 July 2010.

Just did a PEN-SIN-PEN run and I've re-qualifed as KF-G for another year. Automatically happened.. didn't even have to call anyone up.

SQ Gold for one flight

I got the same promotion and was around 20,000 miles as well. I think they also look at your frequency and how likely you will requalify otherwise.

I had recognized a lot of SQ flights on my KF membership at the beginning of the year, but for the previous 4 months had been booking my SQ flights to UA MP, to renew my gold status with them.

Note that "one flight" means any leg- I flew to Manila and credited my return flight to UA MP, and still got the new GE status from KF.

Well it possibly looks like their generosity has ceased (perhaps). Just got the automated email stating that my EG expires Dec 31st and you need to fly more to re qualify. I am 8.6k away from that and more than likely will cover the points.. but wheres my take another flight and get it??????

My girlfriend got this same offer 5 weeks ago. She had ~24K miles to go to requalify.

I got the email last week, whilst I'm only Elite Silver, I was offered the "take any eligible flight and we'll renew your status etc..."

Had I no travel planned for the rest of my membership year (end of November) or I was a few thousand miles short, I may have taken the offer up.

But the fact I was only 82 points shy of re-qualifying and still had a return leg back to Sydney (3912 miles in whY) I felt a little slighted
