Confirmed : Regional 772's to get cabin refurb (72A)

There are no changes to the economy seat pitch. B772ERs have 34" pitch in Y.

B772ERs have 33" pitch in Y, B772s 32".

A long time ago, I have asked SQ to be sure, and got this reply:

We wish to inform that the seat pitch of our B777-200 and B777-200ER aircraft are 32" and 33" respectively.

but only for the front cabin - the chart shows 32" for the back one. I guess that settles which area I'll be aiming for then!

Yep, very generous seat pitch at 65" in J. Previously, seat pitch was at 60" in F for this aircraft!
Spacebed was at 58" IIRC.

That is a very generous seat pitch and spacious cabin for J class! Interestingly, their A330s carry more pax than the retrofitted B772s (30J/255Y vs 38J/228Y).

Looks like there's one less lav upfront now.

3 lavatories for J class, 1 in front & 2 in the middle.
Formerly, it is the old 3-class configuration, so first class pax will use the lavatory in front.

Rows 17 & 18 in J class will be in a mini cabin.
However, during boarding, Economy pax will be walking pass you to get to their seats if that doesn't bother you.

If SQ is smart they have the 777's outfitted for JNB-SIN and JNB-SIN by June for the World Cup. Im surprised they were not mentioned in the article. Is this route getting it as well?

The 777s in for refurbishing are the regional 777-200s (non-ER) while those used to fly to JNB are the 777-200ERs.

I agree - they'll probably sell every seat on those planes as is - thank you very much. When you're half drunk heading to a bigger sports party, the confines of the plane don't seem to matter as much.
