Just took the FRA - JFK leg in F and it was full.

In fact, the whole plane looked to be full so fingers crossed SQ will continue to cover this route.

Our company uses SQ quite a bit for this leg as it is cheaper than LH - and better, but a German might not say that.
Oh............ SQ is definitely better now doubt!!!!

    By the way I'm German.

And here I thought this was a nice way to requalify for *G status

There's a better US Airways promo around than the double buy miles promo. You can earn at a cost of US$0.007 per mile (or 1 million miles for US$7,000 to put it another way) buying Trackitback on their big shopping bonus promo.

Am flying FRA-JFK route in a month - will post how full the flight is.
SQ25 loads going east this last trip: JFK-FRA: 12F, 42J, 307Y; FRA-SIN: 12F,37J, 239Y. Fares and yields across the pond might be low, but in this case, the tail was bigger than the dog.

And F is F after all:

LH F service is very consistently on high levels
LH F food is usually very good (and beats SQ in terms of both quantity and quality)
LH F ground handling in FRA and MUC is outstanding (fancy an S-class shuttle to/from your plane?)

Award Availability is very good for both redemptions/upgrades on LH F. As far as KrisFlyer is concerned: Flying LH F to London is cheaper than flying SQ J... (180K for LH F vs. 204K for SQ J including online discount). And LH F availability usually beats SQ J availability...
    Where do I get that?

As for the Virgin product, you are kidding me, aren't you?! With the notable exceptions of the Clubhouse and the UC bed, the VS product is *truly horrible* - indifferent service, poor food, uncomfortable economy class, AVOD only on certain flights, etc
OK I didn't know that there are trying to sell their stake. But still a better option than LH IMHO.

If you fly on an LH 744 then in economy there are not even individual screen, let alone anything like AVOD. They show 3 programs evenly spread throughout the flight (so on a 12H segment there is something showing for less than 6 hours!). Service doesn't exist, with them coming round with water/juice just a few times a flight.

(They have just retrofitted the A330s and A340s to have individual screens in economy, but no AVOD)

In business class then although you have AVOD the choice is very poor (BA economy and SAS economy have better selections!), seats only recline to 170 degrees, and on my last flight the headphones were broken and they are hardwired so I could not replace them.

Of course LH does have a F product, but is it worth it? As a colleague of mine said last year, LH first is like Malaysian airlines business class!
