  • A couple of small tweaks for the 77W seats

After reviewing the feedback from the first months of operations they are slightly altering a couple of things, allegedly.

One is the leather on the seats, which has been reported to be a little 'too soft' and people have been 'slipping down it' apparently. So slightly stronger leather will be used.

There are also reports that people have claimed that the cushions are a little too hard/uncomfortable so they are looking to use a slightly softer cushion.

Maybe others on here have heard about this ?.

Pleased to hear about the leather. When I travelled on SQ861/2 in February, my largest problem was sliding down the seat! Before takeoff, when the seat could not be reclined, I did not find it overly comfortable (for a F class seat, rather than in general!) Sounds like this could help matters. I think part of the problem is that the seats are so wide and - given that the leather is slippy - it can be difficult to grip the seat properly. Will hopefully get to try this out again in the near future.

      Welcome to SQTalk, Irish lad!

Yes a lot of the complaints have centered on the F cabin and the uncomfort of the new F seats, and also the susceptibility to wear and tear of materials in the J cabin. Glad to see they're doing something about it.

Although there are a lot of complains, I think the new J and F seats are still great compared to others.

My problem is that after I travelled on the new J, I had a hard time enjoying SQ's Spacebed. The new J is just way too comfortable to lounge, to sit on, and to sleep. The privacy is also unbeatable.

Yeah. 'Enjoying' SpaceBeds would be very hard from now with the new J out.
My only consolation is that I sleep very well on SpaceBeds.

I will be contented to get to sit on a Spacebed given the fact I've never flown in C or F. Well, if I'm so lucky and I get to sit on the new C seats, everybody will start to fly in F or some in private jets...

If that were true, I'll be happy to score you some of my miles for a J redemption.

It depends on where you seat on 77W. The 2 rows 11 and 12, I must say not private enough for me. I kept seeing the guys accross the aisle doing some adjusting procedures!

When you have seen almost all the movies, you will have to find other entertainment, right?
