In addition to your relevant travel documents, a printed copy of your electronic ticket will also be required when you arrive at the airport for check-in.
Oh great. Now we have to worry about them losing our whole reservation?

I'll be flying on the 8th , from MNL to SIN !

          =============
          Just a brief note too....

Expect lots of grief in the coming months ... from what I hear in Singapore through a friend working with SQ in res, they are hating the new Amadeus system.

I don't blame them.. cos CX is still having problems almost 1/2 a year after they switched over to the new system. CX's average hold times on phone is about 2 hours after the cutover.

QF/BA took almost 10 months to get used to their systems when they went Amadeus about 10 years ago.

Don't expect FQTS/FQTV to work anymore.

Keep all your boarding passes as I suspect there will be glitches in the systems.

In recent times, the word "upgrade" has taken a whole new meaning.

Just received an e-mail from KF, similar to the OP, but also listing changes to KF services.

              [...]

Changes to KrisFlyer services from 08 July 2012

While we endeavour to minimise the changes to our current membership services, you may wish to note the following differences after we transition to the new reservations system effective from 08 July 2012:
              • Applicable fees for KrisFlyer redemption ticket changes can be paid for only with credit/debit cards; KrisFlyer miles will no longer be accepted.
              • Redemption tickets can no longer be cancelled online. Members should contact KrisFlyer Membership Services or their nearest SIA office.
              • Members who would like to make changes (other than seat and meal preferences) to their redemption bookings ticketed before 08 July 2012 are to contact KrisFlyer Membership Services or their nearest SIA office for assistance.

Please refer to our website or follow us on Facebook or Twitter for updates on our transition to the new reservations system.

We apologise for any inconvenience during this transition and thank you for your patience and understanding.
Sounds like a real upgrade of the services to the customer... So with the reported 'contact fee', KF have found a way to print money. Make the customer contact you because the website cannot do what it could do and charge him/her for the privilege.

Well, I see I can find an excuse to make changes through the contact centre and avoid using the dreadful website.

Nobody has ever attempted to charge me any offline changes so far.
And I will insist it will never happen

Same here, no attempt to charge me so far. I do the initial booking on the website. Everything else via KF. So far, so good. It is the reduction in options that irks me. I value having the option of paying with miles or cash.

Right.. And let them have a chance to remove that 15% discount.....

Is this a good time to short SQ stock?

goodness.... what will happens to my and my family's bookings. Hopefully not that bad, and better still, if they manage to fix their wonderfully terrible website.
