New config won't be flying to LA...yet. Just booked a ticket for my mom and put her on the upper deck in Y.

Just navigate in singapore airlines new website and saw that A380 has 2 configuration.
Which one is using on flight SQ861 Hong Kong to Singapore?

The second config will be deployed effective 9V-SKL onwards. That has been factored for SYD run. Hence you should be getting the ones with Upper Deck Y for the time being.
