  • TG through-check policy

Hello! I've a question for which I would be grateful for any tips. I am flying LHR-BKK-SIN with a 30+ hour stopover in BKK.

Is it possible to have my check-in baggage checked through to Singapore despite the long layover?

    I highly doubt it

You can do that sort of thing on SQ, but TG ?. Like Kyo I'm not so sure.

Drop them a line and ask, even though you have to take answers from anyone at TG with a grain of salt.

Ahh thanks both. I'll give them a call and see how it goes. I just wanted to save lugging the kitchen sink and wine cupboard through BKK but ah well...

You could leave the two items at left luggage

Unfortunately, TG won't check through your bag if its more than 24 hours connection. In general, TG will only interline your bag if the connecting time not more than 12 hours. However, in the case TG-TG or TG-*A along with some exceptional circumstances (e.g: if you require a visa for Thailand), they will allow your luggage to be through check up to 24 hours connection.

Better check with someone who works at TG to double check

Thanks all - and so as an update, the answer is NO, even though I was travelling TG J to TG J.

The answer I got from check-in was as above (with the usual variation), can only through check if the layover is less than 12 hours. Not sure about the 24 hour window for TG - TG but ah well.

Interesting experience on TG - one for another thread.
