  • Question about mileage accrual among OW

    Hello

some weeks ago i bought a IB ticket from MIL to BILBAO on AA.com. When i purchased it, i logged in with my AA number and consequently this FF# has been loaded in my PNR.

Basically i accrue all my oneworld flights on BA so when i got to the airport for my first leg, i gave my BA FF card and kindly asked the girl to switch the FF#. She was really helpful and did it. When BP came out from the machine, it reflected the new FF#, stating clearly "BA" and my BA FF#, together with OW status which was at that point recognized.
The same event occurred on the way back.

2 weeks later i discovered that 3 of 4 legs have not been credited, but the worst thing is that the remaining leg (which was the second in the path- sequence) has been credited to AA, notwithstanding the BP with the BA number.

What to do now? I fear that BA Customer care will offer to process the missing mileage for the three legs not credited and will refuse to credit the fourth leg. Honestly what possilibilities do you think i have to get all my miles correctly? HAve you any suggestion?
    Thank you in advance.

If SQ is too expensive, the other way to fly is Qatar Airways

Did all the BPs print out with your BA number? Usually, the replacement has to be done segment by segment.

If the BPs show the BA number, I think the procedure is (this is what I've done when my BP shows my CX number but the miles go to BA):

    1. Let BA know that there was an error (send copy of the BP to BA with the note) and that you will be asking AA to remove the miles
    2. Forward #1 to AA and ask that the miles be removed so you can credit it correctly (as shown on your BP) to BAEC
    3. When the miles are removed from your AA account, send this proof to BA along with #1 and ask that the miles be credited to your BAEC account

I usually do this exchange with faxes to a BA number in the UK and the MPC fax number in Hong Kong.

The BPs for the specific flights with the BA number on them are the crucial element for the procedure to work.

I have BA numbers correctly filled in in all the BPs.

Btw, AA seems to me completely mad. 3 days ago i got a form for a baggage lost.... but the baggage was found 2 months ago and they delivered it to me already.
Now they're asking to me which kind of compensation i like (for the baggage lost and the items).....

Totally agree. I was half kidding there...however, I was recently put in the same situation as you. They lost my bag, made me wait an hour while they got the paperwork together, found & delivered it to me, then kept calling me twice a day for the next week to check the status. After telling each person that I had received my luggage and to please close out the report, they proceeded to send me three of the documents you received. They called me the other day again to check the status of the document. I told them that everything was fine and to close out the report, but something tells me this isn't the last I've heard from AA.
