Thanks for reading this.
Could anyone please advise whether it's better to take QF from SIN or BKK to LHR ? More specifically, I have the choice of flying back from either SIN direct or via BKK and the cost is the same, i.e.
SIN-LHR - QF
SIN-BKK-LHR - CX/QF
The second option would involve a 9 hour layover in BKK (which I've been to before) - enough time to go into the city for dinner and a spa rather than hang around Suvarnabhumi.
I'm aware of the difference in the lounge offerings, i.e. the two CX lounges in BKK (neither of which is anything to write home about) and I believe there's a joint QF/BA lounge in BKK (but I've not visited); and I've been to the quite nice joint QF/BA lounge in SIN.
What I don't know is whether the QF hardware, service, food etc will be different from BKK compared to SIN ? I believe both flights get into LHR around the same time.
