    Outbound

Living in Coventry means, having to schlep all the live long day to London Heathrow, if you want to catch the direct LH flight to MXP. But all is not lost, especially if you have a great seat on the National Express Bus. Here's the signature legroom shot on the bus:

Check in process for the BMI operated, but LH interior flight is at the LH/OX/LX++ common check in counter, all the way down terminal 1, almost on the other side of the terminal from when you take the lift up from the Bus Terminal. But, the good news here is that you have direct access to security, and in Business class they have a Fast Track service.

Once you get in, the Star Alliance Lounge awaits! It's quite a way away from the security, but is quite close to the gates.

I was actually quite pleasantly surprised with the S* lounge at Heathrow T1 - it was very busy, but came stocked with food, drink, and is a great place for you to wait when you're inevitably delayed.

    - Interesting selection of food, Chicken Chasseur, Bhajis (Vegetable and Onion) and Samosas.

When my flight was FINALLY Called, I made my way to the gate.

    - BMI Exterior

    - LH Italia Interior

    - Cool Red Engine cover

    - My iteration of the SQFG legroom shot - Seat was 1F

    - Wet Towel at the beginning of the flight.

    - BMI Safety Information Card

The table is quite unique and it is due entirely to me sitting in the first row. But is a bit of a struggle to get up and out into the necessary position. The Purser on this flight was a LOVELY Italian lady who made me feel much too at home.

    - The Table

Meal service was quite interesting. It's all served on one tray but came with a choice of two mains, and a wide selection of drinks. Plus that Italian essential: PROPER Expresso.

Thanks for the TR! Glad you had a good flight - but that dish looks wholly unappetising from this picture!

I'll have to Echo Kyo's statement - that looks like a dish I probably wouldn't go near

Thanks for the TR though - looks pretty Lufthansanised for an I registered bird.
