I have asked the LSS to wake me up 3 hours prior to land in ICN. I just want to make sure the time is about lunch time in Singapore. It would make easier for me to adjust with the time change.

And here are my meals pictures.

    Citrus dressing

      Arriving at ICN

It was a cloudy and grey weather. Thus did not have any view from the wings. (May be will add later from my other flights)

All pax must deplane at ICN with all their belongings. The two F pax in F seemed to be VVIPs. May be celebrities. Some one went on board to meet them. So I was first to get off. From the jetway you will see a staff asking "Transit Passanger?" If you said yes, you will get a sticker put on your shirt pocket or jacket lapel. We were at Gate 39. So with a short walk, there was a temporary counter with the SQ staff who gave the TRANSIT card. From there I went directly to security check (about 5 metres away may be.)

BP check and with passport check for picture ID. No need to take out liquids nor laptop. Went upstairs, and you have to head back to the lower numbered gates to go to SKL to wait for the flight.

      SKL F @ ICN

I did not go straight there because I was looking for bulgogi burger as suggested by a special SQ crew. Could not find it this time. Perhaps next time. I went to SKL afterwards. Went upstairs and took shower. Definitely the lounge was very quiet. Only three guests around.

I have seen the most common question when doing one flight number with a transit stop (like SQ15/16 at ICN, or SQ11/12 atNRT, or SQ1/2 at HKG, etc) is whether the pax has enough time to go to the lounge.
In my experience so far, while traveling in premium class, I always have enough time to visit the lounge. Sometimes the inbound arrives earlier, thus longer time to transit. Or if the inbound arrives late, the new schedule departure for the continuing flight will be pushed back accordingly.
At ICN, since SQ has the sole use of the transit security check, make it so easy and swift.

What to do at the lounge? Well, shower is pretty refreshing, especially if I fly all the way from Vancouver early morning to connect to this SQ15. Unfortunately, the shower room at SKL F has shown its age. The water pressure is not as strong as I remember couple years ago. The hot water is not HOT enough.
If you don't want to take quick shower, there are couples of computer to use. But if you bring along your laptop, wifi is free.
And for me, I try the snacks. Well I think every Friday evening, they offer a food station with different offerings. I know I have to stop eating! Need to loose weight!

The good thing about staying at the lounge is the fact that the staff will look for you to let you know that it is time for boarding.

Original bulgogi burger is from Lotteria but I haven't seen airside Lotteria in ICN yet. Nowaday, McDonalds seems to be offering this burger.

                Learn something new every time

Since I need the pictures of the falling trial cushions upon landing, I decided to have my camera ready.

Once I was at SKL ICN, I uploaded those pics, and forwarded to the person asked for them. And guess what? There was something wrong. The crew did not follow the correct procedures.
On 77W, for taking off and landing, the seat divider must be down. It is not necessary for 744.

                      Amenity Kits and Pajamas...

I am forgetting one of the onboard services given.
Depending on the crew, generally, after taking of from SFO, pajamas are offered as well as amenity kits are handed out. The pjs' sizes are S, M, L, and XL; but as always, anything can happen. On my last flight, there was only S or L choices. They are unisex. Thus, same for the ladies and the gentlemen.

Amenity kits are Salvatore Ferragamo products. They are different for ladies and gentlemen.

                      Ladies

                      PJs

Pictures above are taken from this thread.

Of course, who knows when SQ will have the new sets. But at the moment, for the Suites pax on A380, they do get different amenity kits, but the same PJs like above.

When is the best time to change to PJs?
The answer is depending on the person individual. For me, after taking off would be a good time to change because I don't want to stain my shirt with my messy way of eating. And, it's more comfortable wearing the PJs for 8 hours at least.
But remember, there is a certain circumstance that might be different, such as when leaving SFO on SQ 1, or leaving Singapore after 11pm. I usually prefer to change right after boarding, and it seems the crew has gotten used to this idea, i.e. the PJs will be given while boarding.

Actually, to think about it, I have been gifted my PJs gotten from SQ flights. I usually wear LH F pajamas.

Well, the PJs from SQ has the lapel on the front so that the zipper will not catch the skin. SQ must have listened to the input/recommendation from Mr. jjpb3.

After you change to PJs, usually the FA will hang your shirt/pants in the closet.

                        ICN - SIN Segment

Boarding will be quick usually. Once on board, pre-take off drinks will be offered. Pajamas and amenity kits will be handed out again. Drinks after take off, and satay will be served.

                                Some Thoughts

Do I make a right decision by taking SQ15 instead of SQ1?

Personally, I prefer SQ15. The departure around noon and arrival after midnight have helped me adjusting with the time change. SQ 1 which leaves after midnight, makes me too tired while waiting for the departure. The arrival in Singapore around noon forces me to stay awake so long until the time to go to bed.
Of course, now the main reason for taking SQ15 is the new seats and the big IFE screen. The bed is heavenly comfortable. The big screen makes the viewing much better, and the time flies by faster.
From the past couple years, I find the crew on SQ1 were not as wonderful as on SQ15 or SQ11.

                                Dom or Krug?

At the moment, I prefer Krug on board. It seems 1999 Dom Perignon is not as smooth as the prior years. But again, many pax from the US (from the accents I believe they were Americans) prefer Dom. I heard that for the flight to/from Paris, the pax prefer Krug. Thus, SQ loads at least four Krugs on board. Only two bottles of Krug are loaded on SQ15. Anyhow, it's all going back to personal preference.

                                Caviar

Yes, not all like this. But, it's a treat to have the option for caviar on board SQ15 (not on SQ1 as it's supper service).

                                Expectation

Lower your expectation a bit, and you will have a great flight. First thing to do is to break the ice between you and the crew. You don't know whether you are getting an easy going crew or ones who needs a bit longer time to get acquainted. Yes, just be yourself, and be nice to everyone always work so well. If you don't know how to work on the remote, or to do things that you are not familiar with just ask the FAs. They should be happy to help you, and actually would initiate the better contact during the rest of the flight.

                                What's next?

I think since you are planning to fly from Singapore to Europe after this flight, if you take SQ26 SIN-FRA on 744 it would be a disappointment. Now days, even though I still like the SkySuite on 744, but being in the very big seat on 77W is more appealing with the better IFE. SIN-FRA SQ326 is 77W.

The photos below show seats 4CD in 744.

And this depicts seats 2CD in 77W.

Remember that the seats on 77W can fit for 2 persons.

And for comparison, here is me alone in SkySuite.
