JNB - Day safari

Hi folks,

Am heading to JNB in the week of 8th Sept.
I have 1 free day. Anybody know if it is possible to go for day-trip safari to see wild life ? I know there is a Lion Park in JNB, but that's more of a zoo with fences than a real safari.

Definitely Pilanesberg is the best game park which can be visited as a day trip from JNB (It is about a 2 hour drive away).

Although it is small it has a good selection of game (including all the big 5) and the advantage of it being small is that it is relatively easy to see the game.

Afterwards you can pop into Sun City for a bit of a gamble.
