Italy just won't. Maybe they'll win today .... but they won't beat Russia! Russia played the best football in the whole tournament being the youngest team, yesterday evening. This Андрей Аршавин (Andrij Arshavin) guy is simply awesome and together with Павлюченко (Pavlyuchenko... i just love typing in Russian hahaha) Russia's football is just so great to watch!

Quite!. That Spanish perfomance against Russia the other night was sublime. I really hope they win it tomorrow, as much as I dislike their manager.

I was aghast with the Italy performance against Spain. That was like going back to the bad old days.

(The winning margin really should have been wider. )

Yah, the Spanish team was better. Somehow Germany manages to screw up all its important soccer finals

in retrospect of Hickersberger's (Austrian ex-coach) words:

"I chose to not take the best ones but the right ones" ...

                              ...

It's not the right ones that won, but the best ones.

                                I respectfully disagree.

The flow and the teamwork among the Spaniards indicated to me they were the right ones. The flair in their goals and the solidity of their ball skills told me they were the best.

How many other teams caused you to say, "Now that's football!" Only the Dutch in the early stages and the Russians in their handling of the Dutch felt at least as "right" as Spain.
