Looking at the way both France and Italy played, I would have preferred Holland to go easy and lose. That'll help Holland too. They'll then kill 2 big rivals at the same time..

I prefer that Holland didn't turn cynical, which I'm thankful they didn't. Isn't it a bit inconsistent to bemoan the quality of football between two of the teams, and then wish that one of the teams who have been a joy to watch, throw away a match?

The way Holland whipped both France and Italy, it's not as though the latter two could be considered their big rivals right now anyway.

Oh no, I escaped from hell already. Am now in Paris but IBIS is horrible. I can't even book Novotel / Mecure. Everyone is full. Why is my office in La Defense

See i wanted that a well. I wanted Holland to lose, but of course the only way to possibly to have that happen would be to play the B team...which they did (well not completely of course)...and even then they dominated.

Next hurdle for the Oranje, the KGB, dah I mean the Ruskies!!...who are truly riding high. This is going to be a tough match; I'm sure any English fans out there, who although their team did not make the tournament but are still following it, are probably cheering for the Dutch in that game

Hmm tomorrow's (well tomorrow here in Canada, I guess today in Europe at this point lol), Go Germany!! (Can't stand Christano [i think i mis-spelt that one], he is the Sidney Crosby of Football [well vice versa]); I would like to see Turkey upset Croatia; The klog wearing, windmill-spinning boys to defeat the vodka people; and Espagne to say to Italy "CIAO ITALIA!"

Of course we all cant get what we want, i also want a million dollars and three Hawaiian islands...guess which one ain't going to happen anytime soon lol

Even the English can beat them I guess And BTW, I'm now in Mecure. Happy. Got rid of Ibis and switched Hotel. Now in a huge Studio overlooking La Defense. Wonderful.... But I'm pretty sure my Finance will be complaining when I'm back.... But still, @ 230 Euros, this is a good place to be in...

And oh, its 3-2 now! Go Go Portugal!

I wanted them and the Dutch to come out of that group, and not Italy, and heh i had never in my formula ROU...but they could have made the knock-out stage very interesting!! but alas, "they" got through...and all we can hope for now is for Spain to beat them back

a) Russia qualifies over Sweden. check.
b) Russia beats the Netherlands. check.
c) Italy over Spain. tomorrow.
d) Hiddink avenges the Australians in the semis against Italy. gogogogo!

Before the quarters started, my predictions for the semis were Portugal vs Croatia and Netherlands vs Spain. Guess who's going to lose tomorrow?

seriously if Italy wins today....im done...I can't watch this anymore..although I am a Germany fan as well...and having Turkey there is great (as I do love the underdog as well)...knowing Italy is still in the equation poisons the the entire thing!!
