  • Time to kill between hotel checkout and flight

Quite a few SQ flights leave around midnight. Most hotels make you pay for an extra day if you want check out after 4pm. How do you kill time between checkout and the flight? And what about luggage?

What you describe is probably a key contributing factor as to why:

    (a) QPPs are no longer allowed into the SKL F, and
    (b) why Krug is no longer served in the SKL F.

That's where I feel the downtown check in offered in HKG is very useful. Juz check in ** luggages downtown early in the day, and you will have a full day to explore around conveniently. SIN should copy this idea!

at every hotel i've been to, you can check out of the hotel, but keep your luggage checked with the bell-hop to pick up later. you can go sight-seeing, and then when it is time to head to the airport, go back and claim your luggage from the hotel and take a taxi.

Or book a club room at the MO in SIN where 8pm checkout comes as standard so go out for the day; have an early dinner; a quick shower in your room; check out and hang around in the club lounge for 1-2 hours until it's time to leave for Changi.

yeah thats what i always did, staying at the meritus mandarin, having to check out at 2 pm (i think) and my flight back to vie always departing around midnight. i stored my luggage at the hotel and went sightseeing, did little shopping and went for dinner or so. not a problem at all, singapore is a great city to spend time.
