  • London during Easter weekend?

I know the big shops are shut on Easter Sunday, but it is worth making a trip to London during that weekend? There are some great WT+ return fares from ORD in March (hopefully MFU-able to CW) and I need the 2 BA flights to get to Silver. Plus I have 2 free nights at the IC London, so its looking pretty attractive right now.

I think you've answered your own question.

PS Unless you're flying BA again from/to BKK, SYD or SIN before early 2009. it'll probably be the last time you fly BA through T4 (as all BA flights save for those just mentioned are scheduled to move by the end of April).

Yeah, my ORD-LHR "moving to London" flight in August arrives at T5.

I do have a 5K Pointbreaks booking at the IC BKK over the new year, so who knows, maybe it won't be my last time at T4.

PS. Is an airside turnaround possible with BA at T4? Might do that instead. Are there showers at the Terraces lounge?

No - you have to pass through flight connections. 60 minutes required according to this:

Yes - both at the lounge complex and, I believe, the gate 1 lounge (the fomer has the Elemis spa if you want a pre-flight treatment whilst the latter is the better lounge for the food selection).

If your flight arrives in the morning and you have time to get landside, you can also get a shower, a cooked English breakfast and your clothes pressed at the T4 arrivals lounge.

          I just read:

          http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=791113

and see what you mean! Assuming they're MFU-able, US$530 plus 15,000 BA miles (net, assuming no BA status bonus) for a CW return and 150 TP!
