  • How would you prefer to spend your holiday? An unscientific poll

This statement of yours leads me to another hypothetical question (for all to answer, not just you lobster )

    Which would you choose

Scenario 1: Longhaul F (say 15 hours distant) all the way to your holiday destination, 5 nights on arrival in a room so small that you can't swing the door open without hitting your suitcase/bed and toilet door. A shower cubicle where raising your arms gets you a bruise against the glass shower wall.

Scenario 2: Y to the same destination. 5 nights in the presidential suite

I suspect most people would plump for something in between: I.E. Long Haul J, 5 nights in a club room...... but for now, if you had to choose either 1 or 2, what would it be?

Scenario 1 if the room has a normal sized bed - being able to sleep on the flight and in the room is most important IMO. At least it's not a Japanese capsule hotel where you can't even stand up!

Deffo scenario 1 if the room has a bed I can sleep on.

I would quite happily take both options but if I had to choose for me it would be option 1. I never feel I really make the most of luxury hotels whereas travelling in F I always make sure I make the most of it.

Me personally, i'd go for option 2. I can deal being cramped 15 hours in a plane. I can't deal with tripping over my suitcase fumbling around trying to find the toilet in the middle of the night

As opposed to tripping over the next two pax fumbling around trying to get to the toilet in the middle of the night!

Moved to its' own thread to avoid hijacking Greatfox's original thread about sleeping in airports.

I am OK with either scenarios - both has its pros and cons and I think I will still manage to enjoy my holiday either way.

#2 for me too. And with scenario 2, there is still spare change compared to #1.

Not if you use your FF status to ensure an aisle seat.

I'd go for Option 2 as well. 5 nights of comfort outweigh 30 hours of cattle class.

SQFG, what amenities are included in this "Presidential Suite" option?

Oh for the sake of comparison - let's just say "the works" - for both your F longhaul should you choose it, and the presidential suite.
