UK Tourist visa times 'to be halved'

    though i don't really understand it. living in vienna is like living among germans (german students flooding vienna uni), ex-yugoslavian immigrants, people from turkey, czech & slovak people and polish people. 'austrians' (meaning the german-austrians) are quite afraid of immigrants though they forget until 1938 austria has been austria+hungary+czech rep.+slovakia+parts of ex yugoslavia+ukrainian parts+...

    to hell with it, austria is the world's #7 or #8 richest country, has high living standards and a damn good social system. it's thanks to the immigrants our economy prospered.

    i hope the UK can profit from immigration as much as austria does/did.

    Yes I did notice that last June, even builders that work past three!

    We arrive into MAN on Sat morning, perhaps I should bring my Polish phrase book....

    You are kidding, right? UK is very expensive even for backpackers. I have met backpackers who spending the whole summer in Europe, but not in the UK.
