Booked me on a codeshare flight, OZ and Air Busan, from Gimhae, Pusan Int'l Airport.... the booking was under an OZ ticket.... so rightly, I should be accorded with *G privilege..... but Air Busan is not a *Alliance airline, so I asked and the check in agent went over to OZ desk and got me a lounge pass.... but lounge dragon says no..... I went in anyway, after about 5 minutes, the check in clerk came into the lounge and said he made a mistake.... haiz, no point arguing.. I was escorted out of the lounge..... ok, got to pay for my own coffee then, and sitting outside the OZ lounge leeching their free wifi posting this..... well, one good thing came out of the this, thecheck in clerk was very apologetic, he change my seat to 1C.

I get/got lounge access when flying on that now AirBusan schedule so I don't know why you didn't. I certainly did earlier this year so I don't know if they changed the policy, but the OZ lounge never has anybody in it anyway and the only thing there is the coffee and a couple of pineapple sponge tarts. That's fine but also...... don't expect any miles!
I already filled up the missing miles forms and submitted boarding passes etc. only to be told it was an AirBusan flight and not an OZ flight regardless of the Code Share flight number.

This is not entirely correct. If OZ is the marketing airlines and Air Busan is the operating airline, then you are not entitled to *G privileges or mileage accrual.Originally posted by kapitan View PostBooked me on a codeshare flight, OZ and Air Busan, from Gimhae, Pusan Int'l Airport.... the booking was under an OZ ticket.... so rightly, I should be accorded with *G privilege
Yes this is indeed very annoying. It bugs me every time when I travel between Beijing and Hong Kong, and my travel agents books me on an Air China/Dragonair/Cathay code share flight and it is operated by Dragonair, I can only accumulate to Qantas which I have no status.

Encountered the same thing when I flew CDG-GVA on an LX ticket, but operated by AF. No lounge access, no mileage credit, nada. When then I retroactively tried to credit to my Flying Blue, they then claimed it was already credited to LX. What a waste of time that was...

If so I wouldn't be too worried about being denied access to that place. I give it a miss myself.
