Not a fan of the A380 in Y. enplaning and deplaning always a nightmare. But it really boils down to your preferences

Same here. Prefer a 77W to an A380 anytime.

well. if its A380 with Y cls on upper deck, then its good as its much quieter as SFO-HK is 15hrs !

Is the 77W not luxury as well? The majority seems to prefer it to the 388.

Another vote for the 77W. The 380 lost its' appeal a long time ago, and this is not limited to SQ.

            Going ot a bit:

I've specifically avoided the 380 on EK (in F) The showers/bar is a one time get out of your system thingy. Their 77W suites are superior (wider with taller walls) to the 380 ones, and in cabin with fewer pax = winner.

To further go OT, I could see myself using that shower twice on a longhaul, once after takeoff and again prior to descent... individual preferences do apply. I'd also prefer the EK 388 purely because of the shower facilities onboard, besting LH's new F by a tiny bit imho. Someday I'll finish my TR and write a summary...

Funny, the purser also explained to me how to reset the shower so I could use it for 10 minutes if 5 minutes wasn't enough... and that's on a BKK-HKG flight

I've always been partial to my EK main fleet crews. The EK A380 crews started losing their lustre about a year ago as I started seeing more young brats working business and first. However, now they're cross-training some of these young brats to also work on the 77W!

There must be a reason I have given SQ waaay too much business this year

A380 is still the bird to go. Smoother ride, higher humidity and less noise. If you sleep most of the flight, this is what matters.

EK and SQ both have too many Suites on the A380 and service as a result is never top notch. LH and MH have only 8 seats in First which is about right.

In Business, I prefer the A380 over the 77W when it comes to SQ.

Though apparently on one EK flight from Sydney, Y pax below got showers too

My vote is for 77W too. There goes my chance for 11K on 77W on both sectors.

Would love to see reliable evidence that the A380 has "higher humidity" and "a smoother ride" vs 77W. I've heard the direct opposite (from an SIA captain, no less), so I'm *very* eager to hear a source for these claims.

You may be the only one.

He is not the only one. 388 anytime in J. Not sure about the higher humidity, but smoother ride (IMHO) and less noise make it a winner.
