SIA had announced the partnership with United Airlines in an internal circular earlier this month.

It said the carriers had signed a memorandum of understanding to work on supporting the resumption of connectivity between Singapore and the US.

SIA said both airlines will aim to progressively code-share on each other's services from Singapore and the US.

The collaboration could extend to Scoot in subsequent phases.

believed SIA actually have a code share with United in the past couple of years for travel between SIN and the US.

SQ has never codeshared with United between Singapore and the US; United's nonstops between the US and Singapore never carried the SQ code, and vice versa, SQ's nonstops between Singapore and the US never carried UA's code.

However, SQ did start codesharing with United on several domestic destinations served out of UA's Houston hub in July 2016.

      Codeshare destinations with United Airlines
      Routes
      Houston ↔ Atlanta
      Houston ↔ Austin
      Houston ↔ Dallas
      Houston ↔ Fort Lauderdale
      Houston ↔ Miami
      Houston ↔ New Orleans
      Houston ↔ Orlando
      Houston ↔ Tampa

Ok it's only a MOU with United to supporting the resumption of connectivity between Singapore and the US. Not even a code share as yet.
