I was talking to the guys behing the bar in the SKL on Sunday and they say this lounge is fantastic:

Singapore's Minister of State for Transport and Finance, Mrs Lim Hwee Hua last week officially opened Emirates Airline’s first Emirates Lounge in Singapore, together with Mr Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline and United Arab Emirates Charge d’Affaires, His Excellency Mr Asim Mirza Al Rahman.

Situated at Changi International Airport Terminal 1, the Sin$3 million Emirates Lounge is the biggest in Emirates’ Asia Pacific network and is one of several new passenger lounge openings for Emirates in the region. Other cities include Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Hong Kong, while the current lounge in Auckland is undergoing expansion.

Designed to duplicate the features of the award-winning Emirates lounge in Dubai, the 853 square metre lounge can seat 182 First and Business Class passengers and is divided into three distinct areas – a luxurious seating area, a separate dining room, and a fully-equipped business centre. Other facilities, such as shower amenities and massage chairs, will help passengers relax in comfort.

Mr Clark said, “Today marks an important milestone in Emirates’ history and its relationship with Singapore. From the very start, Emirates has viewed Singapore as an extremely important gateway and hub in the Asia Pacific region. When we started services in 1990, Singapore was our 1st destination in the Asia Pacific region and our 18th international destination.

He added: “This Emirates Lounge is a further testimony of our long-term commitment to Singapore and is one of a series we are opening throughout the region. An Emirates Lounge is a symbol of our dedication to extend the superior travel experiences that our passengers have come to expect from us, both in the air and on the ground, and our desire to see passengers relax and enjoy themselves immensely when they Fly Emirates.”

Emirates airport services staff manage the lounge at all times, while chefs work round the clock in the lounge kitchen to ensure passengers have a wide selection of food and beverages
