This is the reason why. Aircraft door dislodged.

        • SQ 119|15APR KUL-SIN was also delayed. According to the pilot, it was due to the number of planes taking off and landing at Changi that caused the delay.

          STD: 2040
          ETD: 2105
          ATD: 2140

MI 341|15APR KUL-SIN was also delayed since it was also a turnaround flight from Singapore. Flight landed around in SIN 12.30 am.

          STD: 2145

              • SQ622 | 14 APR | SIN-KIX | 9V-STB

What a delay and diversion experience and a first for me in a couple of areas.

SQ622 was a smooth flight until about 20 minutes away from landing in KIX, pilots announced gusty conditions due to low stormy clouds. Sure it was choppy but moderate turbulence at best as we passed through never ending clouds whilst descending. As the plane descended to about 1,300+ feet in now choppy and fairly severe turbulence, the engines roared to life and we angled up steeply to avoid the worsening conditions and this was our first go around. Not a nice feeling when it was dark, cloudy and turbulent.

Second go around happened when we were barely 100+ feet from landing and this time it was bad as the plane was swaying sideways from the winds and it was obvious the pilots tried to compensate for the bad conditions by being higher than "normal" when approaching the runway which I believe caused the 2nd go around decision as we may have exceeded certain "safe" parameters so up hard, angled and of course through thick clouds with lots of bounciness once more.

Decision then to land in Nagoya to assess conditions and refuel. Interesting that SQ decided to go to the further Nagoya than nearby Osaka International as they have ground staff in Nagoya but not Osaka International.

Finally landed in KIX about 3 hours past the scheduled 935pm time.

First time for me having 2 go arounds and first time ever in Nagoya (tarmac anyway)

                • SQ291|21APR (SIN-CBR-WLG) operated by 9V-SQM was delayed by almost 5 hours. It had to RTB twice; first due to a technical issue and the second time was due to a medical case. Each time to a different gate; from A20 (original departure gate) to A14 and finally pushed back for the 3rd time from A17.

                  • Seems like 9V-SCA has some problems in KUL today. SQ118 operated as per normal but SQ119 is cancelled.

There was a tense stand off in the gate lounge as Angela Merkel refused to board until Donald Trump agreed to offer her longer than a 20 minute consultation. While the captain monitored DJT's twitter account for clearance, a crew change became necessary. On boarding the aircraft, the replacement crew noted that the first crew had handed out crucial sausage supplies in a bid to appease angry Alternative für Deutschland supporters at the back of the plane on their way to an alt-right debrief in North Carolina of Donald's Fox & Friends interview. This lead to the replacement crew requesting backup supplies of Würstchen before they would allow the flight to depart. True story, bro.
