  • 58min transit / EWR-PEK

hi, is anybody here familiar with the layout of EWR? i need some advice:

i got booked into a couple of CO flights, DTW-EWR-PEK (CO3018/89), and the transit in EWR is only 58min. (arrive 10:52 a.m., depart 11:50 a.m.)

i did not look closely at the itinerary when i was reserving the flights, but apparently the CO website allowed it and now i'm stuck with a short transit. do you think the transit time is sufficient?

i understand that EWR is a CO hub - i wonder if there is there a shortcut post-security between the gates? i.e., i don't have to get out of of the domestic terminal and pass through security again at the international terminal? (typical of US airports)

the good news is, PEK-SIN, i'm on SQ

I noticed that too. Im have about 1.5h transit in EWR. Not sure if that's enough too.

Yeah apparently they do sell a few connections from PEK on SQ. I got that too.

Barring weather or other unexpected delays, 58 min should be sufficient for CO at EWR. There will not be additional security for a CO-CO transfer at EWR.
