        That was a quick check!

Wonder what was wrong with SKQ to require it to fly at 22,000ft all the way to Sydney, that could be fixed so quickly, but couldn't be fixed in Singapore...

Apparently it went for a Gear Swing Test in SYD.

Landing gear had to stay down

All A380s will be refitted with the new product by years end

            • Interesting. Gear swings can be conducted in the SIAEC hangar in SIN though.

Does an A380 not have the fuel capacity to fly from ASP-SIN with the landing gear extended?

              • It does, but there is a certain weight the A380 has to be, so it can takeoff. The A380 was probably too heavy (because of the fuel) for it to takeoff in ASP.

I didn't think it left the gate, as it arrived and departed from the same gate? (Gate 61)

                  • Been trying to find some seats for my plan to travel to Germany in November, redemption seats, I found SQ25/26 SIN-FRA is operated by an A388, on the same day SQ325/326 is operated by a B773. So the A380 will be in operation then?

                    • Seems 9V-SKG is undergoing preparations to leave the fleet. It is apparently in full-white with blue tail.

                      • 9V-SKW departed ASP for SYD. Another gear down ferry by the look of it (flight plan filed at 21,000ft all the way)

Unexpected to see this V3 one probably heading back to SIN in the coming days after its gear swing in the QF hangar.

Should be back in SIN on 3 September 18:40 as SQ8896 after its gear swing.
