i wonder if the KUL frequencies come at the expense of the SQ ones (now down to a handful)

Interestingly enough, I was browsing the MI site for SIN-PEN-SIN last night and those flights were already in the system! (of course, I don't follow what the regular flight numbers are, so I thought it was normal)

Nice to see PEN getting another flight. Not nice to see it's MI and not SQ.

Guess very soon we will see SQ totally out of the SIN-KUL-SIN routes... They should really just include MI as a regional partner to *A!
God must have been a ship owner, he placed the raw materials far from where they are needed and covered two-thirds of the earth with water...

believed SQ will still mainatin a presence using its own metal at least once daily and will not be totally taken over by MI

surely they have to for the sake of Star alliance connections.

I agree, just bring SilkAir into Star Alliance and be done with it!!!

My wish is that SQ return to PEN instead of MI adding more flights. If they're adding more flights because of demand then I'm sure SQ can 'survive' on that route

With the same capacity, MI is able to offer multiple daily frequencies using their A320s vs SQ's sole daily B772/A330, and frequencies are what business travelers want. Unless SQ starts purchasing A320s, we would not see SQ re-enter the PEN or SUB market or even add more flights to KUL.

unless MI starts flying wide bodies, SQ will still at least have one slot per day
