  • Have a final glimpse one last time on the Regional Business Class before they remove it for good: https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/u...usiness-class/

Strange that they have removed A330 from fleet page and Business Class page but the URL still works.

    • 9V-SSI is scheduled for an air-test tomorrow (12JUL21) as SQ8893.

      STD: 1000
      STA: 1130

This will be her first movement since being ferried RGN-SIN back in December 2019, following a tail-strike incident there on 25NOV19.

Oh dear, she sat around a year plus without doing much. Such costly repair will dent its value.

Given the current pandemic condition, would SQ do a farewell ceremony for the A330 fleet? I am kinda optimistic about this.

          Very highly unlikely.
They will just paint the aircraft in white and quietly leave the airport.

On side note, 9V-STV which went to Oman Air as A4O-DZ in August 2019, has been flown to France for further storage. It only operated for Oman Air for 6 months before the lease was terminated due to COVID-19.

                  • 9V-SSI

9V-SSI went for airtest today as SQ8893 and was seen in all white livery.

By the way, is there any other ex SQ A330 still on SIN soil other than 9V-SSI? Thanks in adv.

9V-SSI has left SIN as SQ8893. Probably gone for good.

Actually I got quite sick of being on a SIA A330. So this is actually the moment I am waiting.

But looks like I need to wait way longer since A330 routes have not been fully reinstated. Was often on SIN-SUB, SIN-KIX, SIN-CAN.

                                Farewell A330-300, 2009 - 2021. You deserve a much more dignified exit.
