Lufthansa was the first airline to order the 777X followed by Eithad and Cathay and SIA was the 8th customer to order then for 20 777X or 779. It would be likely the later part of 2025 when SIA receive its first 779 provided that it did not push back any deliveries. But with covid and even with the vaccine, air travel as predicted by many airline analysts and airline will not be back to pre covid levels for a good 2.5 to 3 years from now. For SIA do not think its an issue as it still can use its existing 77Ws to cover for the 3 years or so.
