  • F class pax makes quick exit upon arrival...

Thought this might be of interest

"Fox News reports that Delta first class passenger Satyanand Christopher got so angry at seeing economy passengers getting off the plane before him that he pulled open an emergency door and used the slide."

    http://travel.timesonline.co.uk/tol/...cle4288825.ece

"He was arrested and may have to pay the significant costs of refitting the slide along with compensation for the delays he caused."

What begins with anger ends in shame

(I think it's Thomas Jefferson who said this, but I'm not sure, so I'll have to check)

Attitude always comes at a price...

not too sure if such occured - as once the plane is docked or abt to, the senior crew would ask the crew to disarm the doors and once disarmed, even when one opens the door, the slide would not be deployed.

oh likely emergency exits are not disarmed.

altho that would mean that this F class pax must moved back to the mid-section of the aircraft and use the over-wing exist - is it likely?

Certainly happens if only single aerobridge is used

All the doors have a manual override to inflate the emergency slide even when it is disabled at the gate.

if he did use the emergency slide - then he must have known how to armed it and deploy - and also strange as if he exit throgh the rear doors, wouldnt there be cabin crew at the front doors and rear as well before deplanning?

Not necesarrily at the front door if it wasn't open. Probably they were busy with something else (helping people with luggage? Making announcements?) or just didn't watch the front door- after all, how likely is it that some moron will open a door on his own?
And it isn't that hard to arm a door, actually the arm/disarm lever is clearly marked and if you pull it the door is armed and you can simply blow out the slide by pulling the opening lever.

I'm just happy that no one got hurt by this idiot!
