I missed this one. Very interesting. She only had 1 test Flight & a CAF before Delivery. A first for SQ's A350. I am wondering if they have streamlined the production process.

Maybe SQ wanted them to deliver fast so as to replace the 787 for the time being

        • Any early delivery of new aircraft will definitely help SIA in this current state of the 787 engine issues and the grounding of Silkair 737 Max.

          • 9V-SHF has been painted and was flown back to Toulouse yesterday.

            • Would the two new A350-regional be used to substitute the Dreamliner which are supposed to upgrade ICN routes to all lie-flat business class starting 1 May?

                  • When are we expecting delivery of these aircraft, possibly by end of the month?

SQ currently has 3 A350-900 going through the Flight Testing phase. 9V-SHF and 9V-SHG are painted so they both could be delivered at the end of April. 9V-SHH is unpainted so she will be delivered most likely in May.

                        • According to @Airlineroute:

Singapore Airlines' regional configuration of A350-900XWB to serve Perth from 03JUN19, as SQ213/226
Singapore Airlines plans regional 2-class A350-900XWB service to Kolkata from 03JUN19, replacing A330-300.
Singapore Airlines - A great way to fly...

Further to SQKevin's post #2485, the Airbus Production List (https://aibfamily.flights) has been updated as of 25 April to show many more aircraft on the list. Of possible interest to SQTalkers are the following (tentative registration followed by MSN in parentheses):

behind 9V-SHG (309) and -SHH (316) are to come:
                            SHI (322)
                            SHJ (328)

                            SMV (329)
                            SMW (341)
                            SMY (344)
                            SMZ (348)

SJA (360) no idea what this prospective registration means. Maybe SQKevin can clarify?

                            SHK (369)
                            SHL (371)
                            SHM (379)
                            SHN (385)

So -- two regionals, then four more long hauls, then a sleeper, then four more regionals. Or?

Could SJA just be the continuation of the long-haul fleet, just like how SNA followed SWZ for the 777-300ERs?

Thanks, Bitterroot, for the updates. Good to see additional long-haul A350-900 being delivered again as well as the continuation of the A350-900 Regional deliveries.

Given that SQ has only 2 variants of the A350-900 on order, 9V-SJA will be a Long Haul variant as the current SM... registration series will run out after SMZ.
