Picked up this cherry red Jap beauty today from the local dealership.

2.2L TD, 163 hp. Pretty light steering but overall feels good and solid.

Nice.

I have a healthy respect for Mazda.

Yup, acceleration is everything here since top speed means nothing.

I have both my VW on Oettinger Stage 1 map. More than 360nm torque, super-smooth delivery and improved economy (FC dropped almost 1L/100km after tune despite the increase of 80nm in torque).

Have yet to remap my ECU but I have already done my 15k servicing (9 mths from EIS ). It's very much smoother now. Considering a custom stage 1 map at the moment. Also looking at the GTI too.

Btw, the Golf R LEDs are sweet. S$850 with labour from Sin Ming.
