Looks like a resolution is in sight, as an announcement on whether Firefly can resume its flights is expected soon:

A forumer on Skyscrapercity forum read in Lionmag (Lion Air inflight magazine) March 2019 edition, that Lion Airís subsidiary Wings Air (IW) is applying for rights to operate flight from Lampung (TKG) in Sumatra to Seletar (XSP).

I like how this is being covered by so much local media. Possible PR move to get Malaysia to get their shit together?

Default Malindo Air receives air traffic rights from MAVCOM to operate SZB-XSP

Malindo Air receives air traffic rights from MAVCOM to operate SZB-XSP with 42x weekly frequency (ie. 6 daily) commencing Jun 2019. Great to see some competition on this route. Firefly is charging upward of S$100 for one way XSP-SZB after the end of their promo period!

Awarded Company Commencement
SZB-XSP v.v./ 42x weekly Malindo Air Jun-19
