  • There seemed to be a A330 in star alliance livery in one of SIAEC's hangar. Anyone knows if it's SQ's ?

My point was, is SQ getting a A330 into star alliance livery next ? Don't remember any A330 Star alliance airlines being maintained by SIAEC hangars ?

I very much doubt it considering all the A330s are supposed to be gone within the next 12 month.

          • Doubt all the A333a will all be out of SQ within the next 12 months and some will stay on for another 2 years at least.

I could imagine that will be the next A330 to Brussels Air in Star Alliance Livery

Exactly why would SIA repaint an old aircraft that’s going to leave the fleet.

                  Apparently it is 9V-STU.

                    Is it still for SQ?

It's already been removed from the SQ fleet.

So Star Alliance Livery for another airline?

                            • STU just landed from air test in Singapore Airlines Star Alliance livery. Saw it with my own eyes!

                              • Think from now SIA may have to rethink about about returning any A330s this year and extend the leases as with the just happened case of its 787s and grounding and or limited flying time for the 787s, that it needs all the existing aircrafts it have to substitute for the 787s that are grounded as now more than half of its new 787s are not flying.
