Instead of upgrading the B77W from 2006 to 2013 seats, I think SQ should prioritise changing the B777-200ER seats first. Those seats are super old and I'm surprised these seats with terrible IFE are still used to fly long-haul routes.
They need to free up the 2006 seats from the 77W first.

SWZ is doing SQ2/1 as a 77WR. Evidence is strong enough to me. 7 months ago I was on SWZ (in January) flying SQ2 to SFO knowing the first sector had signs it would eventually turn to a 77WR. Similar situation with SWU that also did LAX recently that my father was on 3 days after me.

Now I think SWQ and SWR are definitely in for retrofitting cause we've had 3 77WN free up 4 First class seats and some Y seats as well.

Noticed that the SilverKris magazine on board mentions 26 777-9 and 55 787-10 on order. Has SQ confirmed a further order of 12 more aircraft with Boeing?

SQ424|05AUG (SIN-BOM) is being operated by a B777-300 (9V-SYH). Wonder why.

Haha, yeah that's a good thing. But it is mysterious. Back in February, we had one odd day BOM (424/423) and DEL (406/403) got a 77WN (IIRC, I think one got SWV and the other got SWZ) but nowhere on flightmapper did it mention that it was getting a 77W.

Moreover, unlike last Summer, it's not a 77W/77WR/773 due to the time with light loads. They're running the A380 like usual.

Been 4 weeks, SWQ and SWR still out so retrofitting seems obvious that taking 2 77W out will be the norm. My prediction will be another 77WN out because the afternoon rotation will be going 77WR soon.

EDIT: Yup, sounds like 2 77W taken for retrofitting seems to be the norm. Then again, I still wonder why they haven't pulled SWG or SWI for retrofits, they are 10 years old already and still containing the 2006 cabins.
