![]() On their online seat map for 737 Max 8, only 114 seats are shown for the Hiroshima flight. Maybe 30 seats not sold due to weight restrictions?

![]() Will SilkAir launch a new medium range service with their 737 Max? Eg,flights to Japan on SQ feature a proper trayless dining service with cheese course and mid flight snacks and even light refreshments (for NRT/HND). And not to mention SQ has Japanese Hanakoireki course. And keeping fingers crossed that lie flat beds will be installed on these birds!

![]() Hate to burst any bubbles of hopes but going by this article, there are unlikely to be lie flat beds nor seatback entertainment in the new 737-Max8s - https://blueswandaily.com/silkair-co...n-the-horizon/
"Mr Foo said the 737 MAX 8 will have the same economy class product and configuration as the 737-800. However, SilkAir is cutting one row of business class to provide improved pitch for business class passengers flying on its longer routes. SilkAir configures its 737-800s with 150 economy seats and 12 business class seats. The 737 MAX 8 will have only eight business class seats. The business class seats will still be recliner style seats in 2×2 configuration but legroom will improve significantly as the business cabin will be 50% more spacious. SilkAir will offer the same WiFi and streaming in-flight entertainment product that it now provides and will still not have any seatback IFE monitors in either class." - Though I believe the article was a bit pre-mature to say that there are only 8 buisness class seats - understand from other reports that there will be 12 and only difference is that one row of economy seats will be removed to achieve a more spacious business class cabin. |
